Biography

Andrew Renton is a UK-qualified solicitor and partner at Castletown Law, the firm’s allied practice in London. Through a long-standing strategic alliance with 24 Law Chambers, he provides dual-jurisdiction capability for clients whose matters cross the Nigerian-UK corridor.

His practice focuses on energy, infrastructure, and oil & gas transactions across West Africa. He has advised international oil companies, independent producers, and sovereign entities on upstream licensing, gas commercialisation, power purchase agreements, and large-scale infrastructure concessions.

Andrew’s particular value lies in bridging common-law traditions — helping Nigerian and international clients navigate the differences between English and Nigerian commercial law when structuring deals, resolving disputes, or managing regulatory risk across both jurisdictions.
